Following on from concerns identified at the AGM in March, the Associations’ spring meeting focused on residents’ parking issues. The committee undertook a mini-survey of possible extra parking places in the area and compiled a list of questions re local policy, residents’ permits, the parking of traders’ vans and other problems. These were all sent in advance to the guest speaker for the evening, Mr. Angus Culverwell, LBB’s Head of Traffic and Road Safety.
Angus gave a very interesting presentation and brought well considered answers to residents’ parking issues. A Q&A followed which allowed audience members to follow up and ask questions of their own. Among a number of action points to be taken forward, Angus agreed that the parking signage and the number of parking bays in the area would be reviewed within 6 months.
